Legal process
Unbundled Networks is a dba of Cornfield Voice LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. Subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, preservation requests and emergency disclosure requests relating to numbers or calls on our network should be directed to us as the carrier of record.

Email is faster than mail and is the preferred channel. Send legal process as a PDF attachment from an official agency address, and put the case or reference number in the subject line. Do not send legal process to our support or abuse addresses; it will only be delayed while it is routed here.
What to include
We can act on a request considerably faster when it contains:
- The issuing agency, the requesting officer or agent, and a direct callback number and official email address for verification.
- The legal instrument itself, signed and complete, with any accompanying non-disclosure order.
- The telephone numbers at issue, in full E.164 or 10-digit North American format, and whether each is the calling or called party.
- A date and time range, with the time zone stated explicitly. UTC is fine and is what our records are kept in.
- The specific records sought — subscriber information, call detail records, registration or IP data, and so on. A narrow, specific request is answered faster than a broad one.
- A return date that leaves a realistic amount of time, and the format and address the response should go to.
If a request is defective, overbroad or unclear, we will say so and tell you what we need rather than simply not answering.
What we hold, and what we do not
We are the carrier of record. Where records exist, they are call and number records — who held a number, what calls traversed our network and when. We are not the retail provider. The customer relationship, the account details, the billing records and often the on-network identity of the end user sit with the partner who sold the service. Where the responsive information is theirs and not ours, we will say so, and we will identify the responsible provider to a valid request so that you can go to the right party.
We do not record calls, and we do not have the contents of your subject’s conversations.
Emergencies
For a request involving an immediate danger of death or serious physical injury, write to legal@unbundlednetworks.com with EMERGENCY in the subject line, state the nature of the emergency, and include a callback number. We handle emergency requests ahead of everything else. If you are a member of the public with an emergency, call 911; do not email us.
Preservation
Send preservation requests to the same address. Identify the numbers and the time range and we will preserve what we hold while you obtain process.
Industry traceback
We cooperate with industry traceback. Traceback requests concerning calls that traversed our network are answered promptly, in the ordinary course, and our partner agreements require our partners to give us what we need in order to answer them. Traceback groups already holding our contact details should continue to use them; anyone else should write to legal@unbundlednetworks.com.
What we will not do
We do not discuss open investigations, requests we have received or the existence of legal process with anyone other than the requesting agency and, where the law requires or permits it, the affected party. If you are a member of the public asking whether we were served, or what came of a report you filed, we will not be able to tell you. That is not evasiveness; it is the rule we are held to.
Complaints about a number that are not legal process belong on report a number.
